Our connections make lasting impressions.
Read through some of the amazing reactions from our events.
We received many compliments on the stage set. Soledad O'Brien herself even told one of the designers that she just loved the set. We are delighted to have this opportunity and look forward to the rest of the season. You are a very organized group and a joy to work with! Thank you.
It's an amazing opportunity to connect. I'd pay them just to have the chance to connect with this kind of audience again. This is different. It's not just theater. It's not a one-way dialog. It's certainly not a lecture....
Tonight was AWESOME. Smart Talk audiences are just the BEST!!!
SmartTalk is my FAVORITE event -- BY FAR!! Such a great vibe from the audience in every single city, and that makes it a very unique experience for me. I do about 100 appearances a year, and I can't say that all of the other audiences are "fun" -- but Smart Talk -- well, they're about the best (most fun/energetic/spirited) group you could ask for. Thank you for the opportunity.
I just wanted to drop you a note and say THANK YOU!!! As you know Bankers Trust made some strategic changes in the marketing philosophy associated with the SmartTalk sponsorship. Our goal this year was to reach out to people who currently do not bank with Bankers Trust. Through the use of the playbill insert (I might add that was your great idea!) we have had a phenomenal response to the pre-reception events. All four pre events are full and demographically over 75% of the attendees do not currently bank with us. With the small informal format of the pre-receptions (limited to 50 people) we have a great opportunity to share with the attendees a little about Bankers Trust in a relaxed setting. Thanks again for all your hard work and helping give extra value to an already valuable sponsor relationship.
Thank you so much! I adore being part of the Smart Talk events. I was just saying last night on the way home....I feel like I get smarter and smarter with every passing Smart Talk event. And I do!
Kudos on a lovely inaugural event in Minneapolis last night. There was so much excitement in the room. Lots of buzz. Nice work on the handing out of the Minnesota Women's Press magazine. I saw the ushers and assistants at each door very deliberate about handing it directly to each attendee. Thanks for the diligent follow through on your end. Congrats on a great event.
Hi! I was particularly moved by Diane Keaton's inspiring talk. Her heartfelt homage to her Mom, her hero, struck a chord in my own heart as I reflected on the life lessons I've learned as I personally observe the way my own Mom has lived her life. She, not unlike Diane's mom, found a way to impart confidence, wisdom & love to her family through her understanding, love, her willingness to give of herself, and through mainly just being present for them. She still, however, never lost sense of herself and who she is. She was and is her own person, true to herself & to her values.
Diane's talk reminded me to embrace (rather than resent or take for granted) the things we, as women, do for our loved ones, and to realize the profound effect our actions have on those whose lives we touch. The power that all women possess within, our innate nurturing ability, can alter, expand, and improve the lives of all those around us if we're willing to follow our instincts and do so.
It was wonderful to gain an inside view into the family life of someone I have admired on stage and screen forever! Thanks for a great series.
March 23, 2010, Jean Chatzky and Smart Talk changed my life forever. To be honest, I wasn’t looking forward to the evening of March 23rd and actually thought about canceling. Who wanted to hear about finances during a recession? I was currently worried week to week about paying off my accumulated debt. When Jean walked onto the stage I was lukewarm at best. When she began to speak I was immediately mesmerized. It’s only been two months and I already notice the difference in my bank account balance! I thank and applaud Smart Talk for their choice of dynamic and informative speakers for 2010. Please know that I have enjoyed each and every speaker for the past five years and look forward to 2011 with anticipation.
When I walk out after an evening of comradery, friendship and inspiration, I feel like a happy and fulfilled woman, and want to share it with others. Thank you for organizing this series. I have been going for many years, and look forward to many more.
You may email us your name, address and a daytime phone number, and we will be happy to add you to our waiting list.

Tickets are only sold as a series subscription to all five events in the fall. On occasion, inventory permitting, single events and special packages may become available; check with the ticket office for details.
Why?
Because selling tickets as a package ensures a more consistent audience throughout the season for you to build a meaningful rapport with fellow SmartTalk patrons. As well, you will enjoy the cumulative impact of experiencing all five evenings of our speakers in the series, not just one night. In other words, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
The events last approximately 1.5 hours.
Format: 45 – 55 minute talk directly followed by a 30 minute moderated question and answer period. Bring a pen, questions cards will be provided in the evening program. No intermission.
Audio/Video recording as well as the taking of still photos by audience members is strictly prohibited. At this time we are not able to provide audiotape, videotape or transcript of the events but we’re working on it!
